Further Step Down of TraceTogether Programme as Singapore Exits Acute Phase of Pandemic

TT Token return exercise to begin on 13 February 2023

With the stepdown to DORSCON Green and lifting of community measures, the Government will step down the TraceTogether (TT) programme in the following three ways:

a. We will stop the issuance and replacement of Tokens at the Community Clubs/Centres (CCs) on 13 February 2023. TT Token vending machines have also ceased operations.

b. We will collect back TT Tokens for refurbishment and recycling. We will commence a TT Token return exercise from 13 February to 12 March 2023. Members of the public can drop off their Tokens at the TT counters found at all 108 CCs. They can also do so on behalf of their family members and friends. The list of CCs and their opening hours can be found on the TokenGoWhere website (https://www.token.gowhere.gov.sg). We encourage everyone to return the Tokens, to ensure that they are ready for distribution should TT operations be reactivated.

c. TT App users can uninstall the mobile application.

Reactivation of TT Programme in the Event of a New Variant of Concern

However, we must remain prepared to reactivate Vaccination Differentiated Safe Management Measures (VDS) and contact tracing. Should TT operations be reactivated, we encourage those who can use the TT App to do so instead of collecting a Token, as the App allows for swifter updates and quicker contact tracing. The TT App will remain available on the App Store, Google Play and Huawei AppGallery and we will prioritise distributing TT Tokens to those who cannot use the TT App, such as seniors, children, and those without smart phones.
