MDDI's Response to PQ on Update on Unresolved Mobile Connectivity Issues at Sentosa Condominium and Expected Timeline for Mobile Network Operator Coverage Enhancements

34. Mr Melvin Yong Yik Chye asked the Minister for Digital Development and Information regarding the unresolved mobile connectivity issues at a Sentosa condominium reported in October 2025 (a) whether the issues have since been resolved; (b) if not, what are the reasons for the delay; and (c) when are the mobile network operators expected to complete the necessary coverage enhancements.

Answer

Two condominiums in Sentosa had reported weak coverage issues to the mobile network operators. Enhancement work at one condominium has been completed. For the other condominium, the operators needed more time to address unique on-site issues and requirements of the building management. They have been liaising closely with the building management and expect to complete the enhancement work in early 2027.
