MDDI's Response to PQ on Evaluation of Singapore Post's Digital Stamp Trial and Publication of Findings Before Wider Rollout
4 November 2026
Parliament Sitting on 4 November 2026
Question for Written Answer
34. Mr Gabriel Lam asked the Minister for Digital Development and Information (a) whether the evaluation of Singapore Post’s digital stamp trial will assess processing accuracy, code duplication, delivery failures, customer complaints, user satisfaction and net cost savings against the existing physical stamp system, including barriers faced by seniors and users who are less digitally confident; and (b) whether the findings will be published before a wider rollout.
Answer
SingPost’s trial of digital stamps offers consumers an additional option to buy stamps through its app. Physical stamps will continue to be available at SingPost’s touchpoints. There are no plans to phase out physical stamps for now.
As part of the trial, SingPost is tracking operational parameters such as optical character recognition scanning accuracy and assessing consumer experience and adoption. SingPost will decide its next steps based on the trial results.
