National Anti-Scam Roadshow 2025
8 November 2025
The inaugural National Anti-Scam Roadshow was opened by Mr Goh Pei Ming, Minister of State, Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Social and Family Development on 8 November 2025. With the tagline “We Can ACT Against Scams”, the two-day roadshow will take place from 8 to 9 November 2025, between 10am and 8pm, at the Toa Payoh HDB Hub Atrium.
Public Education is a Key Priority
The Government takes a multi-pronged approach to combat scams. This includes strengthening legislative levers that empower the authorities to take stiff actions against scammers, such as by introducing caning for scams and scams-related offences, enhancing enforcement efforts to disrupt syndicates, and working with online platforms to implement upstream measures to better protect users from scams and malicious cyber activities. Alongside these efforts, we are also leveraging technology to detect and block scams more effectively.
While the Government continues to strengthen our measures against scams, a vigilant and discerning public is the best defence against scams. The Roadshow is the Government’s latest initiative to equip members of the public with the knowledge and tools to avoid scams. With over 78.8% of scams in the 1st half of 2025 being self-effected, individuals play a key role in preventing scams from succeeding in the first place. Please see Annex for a summary of Singapore’s scam situation between January to June 2025.
The Roadshow aims to deepen public awareness of scams and encourage everyone to adopt anti-scam protective measures, such as to check and verify suspicious phone calls or messages, and to tell the authorities, friends and loved ones when they spot a scam.
What to Expect at the Roadshow
The National Anti-Scam Roadshow will feature a range of interactive exhibits, mini-games, educational activities and stage performances designed to help members of the public understand their vulnerability to scams, recognise scam tactics and adopt practical protection measures to safeguard themselves. Together, we can act against scams and build a safer Singapore for all.
