QUESTION FOR ORAL ANSWER
*39. Mr Pritam Singh asked the Minister for Digital Development and Information with regard to the termination of key management personnel at SingPost in December 2024 (a) whether there is any impact on SingPost’s performance as a public postal licensee with respect to its service obligations and standards as set by the Government; and (b) what impact does this development have on the Government's ongoing review of (i) SingPost’s postal obligations in future and (ii) the safeguard of the interests of the public and postal workers.
Answer:
The issues concerning the whistleblowing report and subsequent dismissals by SingPost was addressed in the Ministry of Digital Development and Information's response to similar PQs filed by Mr Saktiandi Supaat and Mr Louis Chua, which was published in the Hansard for the 7 January 2025 Parliament Sitting.
The Member was present in chamber at the time of the response but did not ask a follow-up question.
