Connect to Your Future in Singapore
The SG60 Heart&Soul Experience: Where Home Will Always Be, jointly organised by MDDI and NLB, invites Singaporeans on an immersive and multi-sensorial journey through Singapore’s past, present and future
A new immersive showcase awaits Singaporeans as SG60 Heart&Soul Experience opens its doors on 26 August at Orchard Library. The SG60 flagship event, Heart&Soul brings to life Singapore’s vision for tomorrow through a voyage across our past, present and future. With the use of immersive storytelling and generative AI, it creates a personalised, imaginative experience for each visitor, offering a peek into what their future in Singapore could look like.
Jointly developed by the Ministry of Digital Development and Information (MDDI) and the National Library Board (NLB), Heart&Soul will be open to the public from 26 August to 31 December 2025. It features a ticketed 60-90 minute experience at Orchard Library and a non-ticketed series of installations at the atria of Orchard Central and orchardgateway.
What could tomorrow's Singapore look like?
Created by the team behind “The Bicentennial Experience” and the SG50 “Future of Us” exhibition, Heart&Soul promises to be an adventure that not only captivates minds and inspires discovery, but also touches hearts and souls. More than 110 partners across the public, private and people sectors have contributed insights and future plans that have shaped the showcase's content. These perspectives have been integrated through the application of generative AI technology, creating interactive experiences that allow visitors to explore potential futures for Singapore.
A key highlight of Heart&Soul is Windows in the Sky, a floor-to-ceiling multi-sensorial space, where visitors can experience how the story of their future unfolds alongside others through a stunning display of sound, visuals, and sensations. The zone culminates in a dramatic finale sequence generated based on the visitor’s responses to various interactive elements throughout the experience.
NLB’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ng Cher Pong, said: “As we commemorate the last 60 years of Singapore’s journey and NLB’s 30th anniversary, Heart&Soul is more than just reflecting on our past, present and future. It is about deepening our connections with one another as Singaporeans and as a nation. We have brought together a rich set of material from NLB’s collections as well as our partners, to tell the Singapore Story in an immersive, engaging way. We are excited to be able to offer a glimpse into what the future could hold, and to invite Singaporeans to discover possibilities about their own Singapore Stories too, in a place where home will always be. Our hope is that this experience inspires optimism and confidence in Singaporeans as we look ahead to the next 60 years and beyond.”
