Digital Government
Discover how MDDI is accelerating the digital shift within Singapore’s government.
Through our digital government efforts, we aspire to create a government that is “Digital to the Core, and Serves with Heart.” This means making government transactions easy, seamless, and secure; streamlining processes; enhancing accessibility; and leveraging technology to provide better services for citizens and businesses.
It also means empowering public officers to continually upskill and work collaboratively across agencies to drive digitalisation within the government and deliver better services.
Collectively, these contribute to our Smart Nation 2.0 vision of creating a thriving digital future for all Singaporeans.
What are some of our digital government efforts to date?
The Digital Government Blueprint (277kb) for the period of 2018 to 2023 set out our comprehensive strategic plan that outlined the vision, mission, and key objectives for the ongoing digital government transformation within the public sector. It helped to guide the digitalisation of public services, ensuring a coordinated and citizen-focused approach to leveraging technology across all government agencies in Singapore.
Moving forward, we will continue to lead Whole-of-Government efforts to strengthen public agencies’ ability to deliver better digital services to improve the lives of citizens. We will systematically improve digital capabilities at all levels of the Public Service, and ensure our digital services are user-centric, secure, and resilient. We aim to be a Digital Government that serves citizens through innovation and excellence.
